Presented by Gallatin Student Council Performances by Comedian CJ. Jones and International Hip Hop Artist Signmark Hip-hop has the power to affect social change, through its use of lyrics, rhythm, and political influence. Hip-hop has a relationship with a vast and diverse community of people, and the Deaf community is no exception. Throughout the past several years, Deaf musicians have turned to hip-hop as a vehicle for expression, supplementing spoken words and rapping with American Sign Language to create a visually-stimulating, socially-integrated experience for all kinds of audiences.
